ALONSO GARCÍA BRAVO (1490-1561)
Spanish soldier and alarife who participated in the Hernán Cortés expedition. Since he had the rank of geometer, he built various military fortifications for the defense of the Spanish army and traced Mexico City-Thenochitlán after the Conquest of Mexico, as well as the cities of Veracruz and Villa de Antequera, today Oaxaca , and Our Lady of Asunción in Panama.
It has a monument at the roundabout located in front of Calle Cuartel.
