BAJA EXTREMADURA INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORIC FESTIVAL

Since 1985 every year the "International Folkloric Festival of Baja Extremadura" in the period between the third weekend of July and August 13. It is organized by the Valdemedel Folkloric Group of the town with the patronage of the Ribera City Council and various commercial houses in the town.

On the days that this Festival lasts, seven or eight folklore galas are held in the Municipal Booth, in which various international folklore groups belonging to the five continents participate, as well as various groups from the different Communities of Spain and from both Extremadura provinces. .

During this period, the groups carry out nightly entertainment on the Paseo del Cristo, as well as visits to the nursing homes and the "La Providencia" Center for the disabled.
