POPULAR EXHIBITION OF WINES AND TRADITIONAL SLAUGHTER
It is a popular sample of pitarra wines held on a Sunday between the end of February and the beginning of March in the facilities of the old Summer Cinema and which serves as a showcase for the presentation and tasting of these homemade wines. In it, local pitarreros make their own and artisanal wines available for attendees to taste, being presented in the same packaging format and labeled for the occasion. To this celebration with a large influx of public, more activities are added each year related to the promotion of the “Wine Culture”, such as tastings and exhibitions of wineries and cooperatives. These wines are accompanied with the typical products of the Extremadura slaughter that as usual this day has been organized by the City Council, with the help of a group of residents of the town, and which tries to transmit and value the products of our gastronomy derived from a practice as traditional in the rural world of Extremadura as it is the slaughter of the pig.
